The Bronze Pig

The location of the Bronze Pig Restaurant with accommodation above is superb for visiting Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle as well as the beautiful cobbled streets surrounding both historic sites. The rooms were comfortable, clean and thoughtfully appointed. Two of the rooms are at the front of the house with a certain amount of traffic which certainly did not bother me but worth requesting the back room if you are disturbed by traffic sounds at night. Don’t be put off by the entrance to the rooms which is through a side passageway and up a steep staircase which could do with some attention. Once you reach the room, you will see how nice it is and best to ignore the state of the entrance and staircase. Breakfast was not included in the overall cost of accommodation. This could be provided on request at the Bronze Pig Or there were many eateries close by that did delicious breakfasts At a price! We had a good stay at the Bronze Pig And the host was welcoming and accommodating and most willingly responding to any requests. We had a thoroughly enjoyable few days staying at the Bronze pig and exploring Lincoln.

Had an amazing steak here with excellent service. Was a lovey evening. It was rather empty when we visited which was fine by me as it was like a private dining experience, but it deserves a bigger clientele as the food is all freshly prepared and excellent. I’m sure we’ll go back next time we’re in Lincoln.

I went to the Bronze Pig for the taster menu and it was delicious and great value for money. The particular stand out was the lamb, I wanted to take the sauce home in a jar! The Rhubarb dessert was also incredible. Really great to have a restaurant like this in Lincoln that is still reasonably priced.

Not bad, had the £68 (+10% I wasn't warned about) tasting menu. The most disappointing part of which was the main course in it, my duck wasn't great, the skin hadn't been rendered properly and was a bit chewy. The wifes was better though. Everything else was really good, which for the price should be. They were very accommodating with our 2 kids but the place was empty at 1pm on a Sunday, so we were hardly putting them out by asking for a steak to be split in half.

Excellent dinner, the tasting menu was delicious and every course perfectly executed. My wife had the flight of wine and enjoyed each one with the paired food. The team were fantastic, service was spot on and the rooms are lovely places to sit. For the price it's a brilliant dining experience.

Here for an evening meal: slightly off the beaten track but worth a visit; a little on the expensive side but a good meal and excellent service for the waitress Gabriella. Recommended.
